Building this site

This site is a small experiment in doing more with less. Every page is rendered on the server, most of them are cached, and the browser receives almost no JavaScript.

The content you are reading lives in Postgres and is edited from a tiny admin panel. A Go service owns the database; the Astro server is the only thing that talks to it.

Why server rendering

Pages arrive complete. Search engines see real HTML, slow connections get a usable page immediately, and secrets never leave the server.
